Yes, it is advised to pre book online. The tickets are cheaper and it also guarantees you entry onto site. However most Special Events are booking only like our Easter, Summer, Halloween and Christmas events. Please check Special Event pages here.
Yes, refunds will be administered if we are given 48 hours notice prior to your visit. Any time after this, you will be offered a transfer and not a refund.

Yes, we have spaces for disabled parking next to the station platform. Disabled toilets and disabled access on the train are also available. We have a designated disabled carriage with enough room for one wheelchair and 4 other persons. We also have accessible seats where you can slide from your wheelchair straight onto the carriage seat. We advise you to ring the office before visiting to check the availability and suitability of our disabled carriage.
Yes, a baby changing station is located within the toilet facilities.
We are primarily an open site with very limited shelter. Please be prepared with suitable clothing and footwear.
Yes, your buggy can be left in the buggy park whilst on your train ride. The Fairy and Elf Walk and rest of the site is buggy friendly.
Although we are an open air site there are areas where smoking is prohibited & this includes the use of E Cigarettes. These areas are clearly signed & include all enclosed buildings. There is a designated smoking area within the main car park. We are designed for families with young children & wish to discourage smoking though.
No, open fires and barbecues are not allowed.
We try our best to run our steam engines as often as possible. They usually run on Saturdays and Sundays subject to weather conditions.
An array of homemade, locally sourced, hot and cold, food and drink is available from our Woodland Cafe. Ice creams are also available on site, they are sourced from local company Saffron Ice Cream and are absolutely delicious!
Under 1 year olds go free. Carers of disabled passengers will also have free entry onto site. Please bring along paper evidence to display when purchasing your tickets or book tickets online and bring the evidence along with you on the day.
There is no charge for car parking. We have a limited number of spaces on our main site with reserved spaces for disabled (blue badge) holders. Once all the spaces are taken you will be directed to our overflow car park which is situated approximately 300m up the road.
We do our best to run in all weather conditions and are rarely defeated. However, during adverse weather conditions it may be necessary to suspend train services or close the site at short notice. Please telephone us or check social media before commencing your journey if you have any concerns.
We have our bespoke Adventure Play Area and our BRAND NEW Nature Corner, the big world of little creatures – opening on the 29th May 2021
